Preparing for a boostcycle class

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

A t-shirt or fitted tank with cycling shorts/ fitted pants is recommended for a more comfortable ride. Cycling shoes with SPD clips are required. Don’t have your own shoes? No problem! Cycling shoes are available to rent for $2. You may also purchase your own shoes starting at only $100. New riders are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their first class so that the Boost team can show you around and help you properly get set up on the bike.

new rider WAIVER

We are so excited you want to give your life a BOOST and take an indoor cycling class at BoostCycle. All riders are required to sign a waiver in the studio prior to your first ride. All riders who are under 17 years old must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Please print out waiver form from our website and bring it in for your first ride or we will have you fill it out when you arrive.

CHANGING AREAS AND LOCKERS

For your comfort and convenience we provide both women’s and men’s restrooms fully equipped with showers, complimentary towels and toiletries. Please feel free to bring your own lock to secure your belongings.

REGISTER

If you book your ride online prior to class, make sure you verify your arrival so our staff knows you’re ready for your class. Unclaimed bikes will be released 4 minutes prior to class, so it’s super important you remember to check in.

ARRIVAL TIME

First time riders are expected to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your ride in order to give our staff a few minutes to get you ready on the bike and make adjustments needed. Because of safety reasons, no riders will not be admitted to class if they arrive after the scheduled class start time. Late riders will be subject to late cancel and/or no show policy charges. All classes do start on time so please make sure you’re on your bike before the lights go down!

cancellation policy

As a courtesy to other riders and our BoostCycle instructors, you must cancel a class 6 hours before the scheduled class in order to avoid penalty. If you haven't cancelled within 6 hours of your class, you will forfeit one credit or, if you hold an unlimited membership, you will be charged a $15 late cancel fee. If you hold an unlimited membership and don't arrive or cancel prior to class time, resulting in No Show, you will be charged the full class amount of $25. No Exceptions. Please note that arriving after the scheduled class time will be cause for a No Show charge. You must cancel class online to ensure immediate cancellation of your class, not by calling the studio. Thank you for understanding!

WHAT SHOULD I EAT BEFORE CLASS?

We suggest you have a light snack 30-40 minutes prior to your Boost ride. This will help you maintain your blood sugar and energy level for the duration of the ride.

HYDRATE

Hydration is the key to an energizing, effective, and successful ride. Make sure you begin drinking water about 2 hours before your ride. Continue drinking during and after the ride.  Smartwater is available for sale at the front desk.

BIKE SET-UP

Proper alignment on our bike is essential to protecting your knees, shoulders and back. For safety and effectiveness of the ride, it’s important that a trained staff member assist you in setting up your bike.
